Overview

No matter who you are, as a human you have the right to seek justice. PATH Bangladesh frames the rule of law as a foundation for dignity, accountable institutions, inclusive laws, and meaningful civic participation.

The organization’s legacy content describes engagement with government, lawmakers, and other stakeholders around legal reform and governance, together with research and data intended to support evidence-based policymaking. It also emphasizes that laws should protect marginalized groups, including women, children, ethnic minorities, and persons with disabilities.

PATH Bangladesh also describes civic education, legal literacy, advocacy, and community mobilization as important ways to help citizens understand the legal system, participate in democratic processes, and hold public institutions accountable.

Rights, participation and accountable governance

This focus area brings together legal awareness, human-rights advocacy, civil-society engagement, political consciousness, anti-discrimination, and democratic participation. The aim is to connect people with the knowledge and civic space needed to understand their rights and engage constructively with institutions.

True freedom requires the rule of law and justice, and a judicial system in which the rights of some are not secured by the denial of rights to others.
