Support PATHOverview
Access to education is a fundamental need and a pathway to wider opportunity. PATH Bangladesh’s legacy content focuses on reducing the barriers that keep children and young people from learning, especially when poverty, gender inequality, displacement, child labour, or social exclusion interrupts education.
Source material describes targeted attention to girls’ education, support for street and working children, alternatives to child labour, and continuity of learning during emergencies. The legacy Focus Area record also links poverty, sustainable and dignified employment, self-sufficiency, and financial stability with the conditions that shape access to learning. It also connects education with practical life skills, digital literacy, civic journalism, entrepreneurship, health and hygiene, and basic legal awareness.
More recent documented activity includes the Odommo Scholarship Programme 2026, through which ten meritorious and financially disadvantaged students received support covering an 18-month period from July 2026 to December 2027, alongside school bags and other educational materials.
From access to sustained opportunity
The education focus therefore extends beyond entry into a classroom. It includes removing financial and social barriers, supporting learners with practical resources, and helping young people build the skills and confidence needed to continue learning and participate in society.
