Two-Day Workshop on PATH Bangladesh Journalism Training for Youth

Khulna, October 18, 2024: PATH Bangladesh inaugurated a two-day workshop aimed at equipping young people with the foundational skills and ethical principles of journalism. This workshop, part of PATH Bangladesh’s broader mission to foster civic journalism and youth involvement, was launched today at the Khulna Press Club’s Humayun Kabir Balu Auditorium.

The two-day training was held at PATH Bangladesh’s office in Nirala, Khulna, where 10 aspiring young journalists participated. The resource persons for the sessions included prominent media figures such as Ehteshamul Haque Shawon, Assistant Secretary of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ), HM Alauddin, Bureau Chief of Kaler Kantho, Abdur Razzak Rana, Bureau Chief of Daily Sangram, Abu Hena Mostafa Jamal Poplu, Bureau Chief of Maasranga TV, and Ashraful Islam Nur, Senior Reporter of Daily Somoyer Khobor. 

The young trainees also took the stage, with KM Habibullah and Nasrin Mahmud Juthi sharing their experiences and reflections on the training. PATH Bangladesh Secretary General Shihab Moin Sourav, along with other key officials, Arafat Habib Akash, Mohammad Saleq Imam Zilani, and Engr. Tawfiqur Rahman, were also present at the event.
