Inauguration of PATH NEWS NETWORK (PNN)

The chief guest, Mohammad Saiful Islam, District Commissioner and District Magistrate of Khulna, officially launched PNN, underscoring the importance of accurate and inclusive journalism for nation-building. He noted that PNN will provide a much-needed platform for new voices, allowing young journalists to contribute fact-based stories that foster social awareness and community development.

Khulna, October 19, 2024: PATH Bangladesh proudly inaugurated its latest initiative, the PATH News Network (PNN), an online news platform aimed at amplifying the voices of youth, marginalized communities, and underrepresented groups across Bangladesh. The inauguration took place today at the closing ceremony of the PATH Bangladesh Journalism Training for Youth, held at the Khulna Press Club’s Humayun Kabir Balu Auditorium.

Khandker Shamim, President of PATH Bangladesh, expressed excitement over PNN’s potential to create impactful journalism, specifically tailored to the needs and stories of the communities often overlooked by mainstream media.
